Christopher Knight
Once and forever a “Brady,” Christopher Knight met life as a child actor, starring as “Peter Brady” in the immortal American Television classic “The Brady Bunch”. A reluctant icon, Christopher focused his early adulthood on pursuits beyond the entertainment industry. With an interest in science and technology, Christopher found himself immersed in the burgeoning world of personal computers and surrounding technology in the early days of the “tech boom.” In time Chris found himself removed from the entertainment industry as a consequence of the devotion and focus his high-tech career path had taken. After twenty-five years as an computer industry executive, a career inflection point was at hand and a path back to the entertainment industry was presented. With the aim of blending his more recent entrepreneurial interests with his artistic roots, Chris returned to the world of entertainment to see if both worlds might be cleaved together into a homogeneous blend. The blending of both worlds gave birth to Christopher Knight Home and the notion of Christopher Knight as a brand. Christopher Knight Home, Christopher’s line of home décor skyrocketed to success, landing in homes of multiple millions, quickly becoming one of the most recognizable on-line brands of home furnishings in the land. Sometimes even becoming the subject of international media headlines involving the veritable seat of Royalty…
Due to the ever-present legacy of all things “Brady,” Christopher’s successful endeavors beyond showbiz still exist in peaceful subordination to his portrayal of “Peter.” In the early 2000’s, Christopher returned to his entertainment roots, once again re-establishing himself as an actor, host, spokesperson and erstwhile entertainment figure. Grateful to be engaged again, both in acting and with the performing arts, Christopher relishes the opportunity at experiencing performing and celebrity, now as a seasoned, “well- baked” adult. Over the last two decades, Chris’ countless TV appearances included such hit shows as FOX’s “That 70’s Show”, WB’s “Blue Collar TV” and Peacock’s “Dragging The Classics” among a slew of others. Christopher also went on to host “Trivial Pursuit – America Plays,” a nationally syndicated game show.
In 2019, Knight and his “Brady” siblings took part in a unique TV experiment with HGTV’s “A Very Brady Renovation,” where they recreated the iconic “Brady Bunch” house in real life, inside the home only used for the exterior shots of the sitcom. This “experiment” broke TV records and still holds the title of one of the most watched cable TV’s programs of all time. Breaking more TV records in the Fall of 2022, Christopher and his “Brady” brothers made another unforgettable surprise TV appearance when they were unmasked in FOX’ mega hit “The Masked Singer,” sparking international headlines and reinvigorating fans old and new. Christopher recently teamed up with his “Brady” brother Barry Williams for “The Real Brady Bros” Podcast, a weekly episodic recap and retrospective dialog on their classic episodes has been an exceptional experience. One that brings us closer to our fans and that which brought us all together in the first place.
Finally, with all the success Christopher has had in his 55 years in the entertainment industry, he never found himself on the other side of the camera. That changed in 2019 when the opportunity came along to launch a production company with his long-time friend and colleague Phil Viardo. Former Prodigy Media, was placed on the map with our initial release “Truelove: The Film” in 2021. The film, an award-winning feature documentary about the rare genetic disorder Williams Syndrome. According to Chris, “The making Truelove: The Film was an immensely rewarding experience. And now to see it make a difference in the awareness of Willams Syndrome and in the lives of those in WS, and know it stands to make a difference long into the future, is deeply gratifying. We are very proud of the film and its impact.” Former Prodigy made its foray into the narrative genre, co-producing a highly anticipated animated feature film “The Inventor” from Oscar-nominated Jim Capobianco (“Ratatouille”), starring Stephen Fry, Marion Cotillard and Daisy Ridley. Former Prodigy is currently amidst the development of a long list of other original content, so keep an eye out for the Former Prodigy name.
Aside from his new role as a producer, Christopher looks forward to whatever the future holds, and if ‘past is prelude,’ his journey is sure to be filled with new and even more surprising endeavors.
